Watching Children While Watching Television

Television is an electronic device that use as telecommunication medium to perform moving image and sound.Television has become commonplace in homes, businesses and institutions,advertisment spot, a source of entertainment, and news. Television is an important thing to get many information around the world since TV has exsist in all of country in the world. Most of people in the world usually spend their break time to watch television everyday,including the children.Of course, TV can be a good thing for children,children can learn about many things or places they haven’t seen before,for example on nature shows and news programs. Watch cartoon show in television also become major activity for children,they like watching cartoon because it is interesting and entertaining for them.

Beside it’s advantage,television also can influence a bad thing to the children,so children need more attention,specially from their parent while watching television. While children spend most of their time by watching TV,they waste their time for important activity such as studying,family time,school work and exercise in the same time. Television also shows violence, sexuality, race and gender stereotypes,drugs and alcohol abuse that can make the children become curious and want to imitate it,reminds that children are easily learn and very curious about something strange for them although they are not really understand which is good or bad to do. As a result,children who watch television are possible to have lower grades in school,read fewer books,exercise less,more emotional and careless.

To prevent any useless and bad thing that can influence the children,it is very necessary to watching children while they watching television. Parent must be selective of television programs,choose the program which educative for their children. Parent should conduct a discussion with their children about the show in television,is it good or bad to imitate. Parent also have to make a kind of rule about when the time for watch TV and when the time for study to their children. Start watching the children while watching TV is begin to save them from moral degradation.
